Eden Fantasys Illume the 23 Candle Review and Giveaway

I had the opportunity to review a candle from Eden Fantasys. It was from their Illume the 23 collection. I was very excited when it arrived as, you all already know, I LOVE candles, tarts, and scents. This was no different.

The box that it came in was very nice and decorative. The box itself showed me that this was going to be a good quality product – and it was. I chose the scent Angel Food Cake because I love bakery scents. It was in a nice glass jar with a lid and, again, even the jar was decorative. I took the lid off and there it was – that delicious angel food cake scent. Okay, I was hungry now! :D

I lit the candle and I burned it every day for a good 10 hours a day (yes, I am aware that I probably break all of the candle instructions on any candle by burning them continuously for that period of time) and the candle held up well. It was a very even burning candle and this is EXTREMELY important to me in a candle. If a candle does not burn even, then you get a lot of wasted candle. No problem with that here. Every time I burned the candle, it burned even – all the way to the end. This candle had a nice fragrance and it was not overpowering. If you like lighter scents, then this is for you. I am a fan of strong scented candles and this candle was fine with me. I enjoyed it and, actually, it was inviting amount of scent. Not too overpowering, and plenty to smell. So it was a great balance and perfect for any scent lover!

Now, Eden Fantasys just isn't about candles, they offer a wide range of adult products in a wide spectrum of categories. I am a shy one, so I just stuck to their candle page... :D But, if you are interested, you can click here to view their whole line of items, but be forewarned that if you click this link, then please make sure no children are around as it is an adult product site.

Eden Fantasys is giving me the opportunity to give one candle away from their Illume the 23 scent collection. You can choose from any of these scents: Angel Food Cake (which is wonderful) - the scent of just-baked dessert; Valencia Orange – sunny, bright, and uplifting; Pomegranate – sweet, ripe and juicy; or Cucumber – fresh, clean, and revitalizing. Click here to view their page on these great candles. Read below the rules and entry methods.

RULES:
1. Go to Eden Fantasys Illume the 23 candle page here and and leave me a comment about which scent you would like to try.
2. Open to U.S. residents only.
3. Entry deadline is 11:59 p.m. (EST) on Saturday, February 6, 2010.

Christian Handbag From The Lord's Art Review and Giveaway

I know several of you have sent me messages that you were waiting on this review and giveaway. Wait no more because today has arrived! Take a look at it. Go ahead...I will wait a moment....

It is wonderful, isn't it? And it actually looks even better in person!

I was able to review the Rahab bag from Lord's Art. This is a fantastic site for faith-based products, religious products, and just your general christian arts and gifts. Their site has so many unique items and there are multiple things that I have my eyes on and hopefully will be able to purchase in the near future.

Now, back to this amazing bag! When it arrived, I immediately loved the color! It is a deep hue and the color in the picture represents the true fabric color. The fabric is a perfect fabric (in my opinion) for a bag or a purse, as I am sure it would be very easy to wipe off. It is made of nylon and sturdy PVC trim. It has a cute buckle in the front. Inside you will find three separate compartments that will allow great organization for your bigger items, your keys, cell phone, etc. And, not to mention the "Faith In Action" quote on the top left and the James 2:22 located at the bottom right. This would be a great conversation starter or just a great reminder in general about the story of Rahab. And, if you are unfamiliar with this story, enclosed with the handbag is the story.

This is an excellent bag...and it is very beautiful and rich in color. The size is great (dimensions are 11" x 5" x 10").

I definitely give it a 5/5. And, not to mention, the people at Lord's Art are so very friendly and kind!

NOW FOR YOUR CHANCE TO WIN ONE OF THESE AWESOME BAGS!!!!

RULES:
1. Go to Lord's Art website here and leave me a comment about which item you would like to try.
2. Open to U.S. residents only.
3. Entry deadline is 11:59 p.m. (EST) on Friday, February 5, 2010.

BONUS ENTRIES: Please make sure to leave separate comments for each.

Enstrom's Milk Chocolate Toffee Review and Giveaway

I had the opportunity to review Enstrom's Milk Chocolate Toffee and I can sum it up in one word - DIVINE!!!!

The taste was amazing. You had your regular toffee taste (but their taste is so much more than regular), along with milk chocolate and almonds. Together, these ingredients were beyond delicious! Seriously. YUMMO!

I received the 1-lb box and it has lasted us, a family of four, for over a week with each of us eating some of it every single day. Now that might not sound significant to you but sweets in our household goes quickly (sad, I know). Keep in mind, our serving sizes were great. We did not feel like we were cutting ourselves short of the filling of something sweet. Okay, I admit, I had several servings every day....I just slid the box in the back of refrigerator so everyone would "forget" that it was there. I wanted it all to myself. That didn't last long though. It seemed like every single time I got a chunk of this, someone was asking "what are you eating?"...lol

Here is a little bit about the company and their history:

Three generations ago, Chet Enstrom perfected the art of blending the finest natural ingredients to create batches of almond toffee as gifts for family and friends. By 1960, his almond toffee had begun to develop a reputation and, at the urging of family and friends, Chet and his wife, Vernie, founded Enstrom Candies in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Over the years. the business has grown and been passed down from generation to generation. The family still follows the same original recipe for the almond toffee that Chet perfected almost 60 years ago. The family has also created a delectable selection of fine chocolates, which like the toffee, is blended with only the freshest natural ingredients to create luxurious and unique creations that are shipped around the world.

Is your mouth watering yet? I know you can "almost" taste it but, really, you can't. You cannot imagine how good this is until you actually taste it on your tongue! As mentioned before, it is DIVINE!

Great news though - Enstrom's is allowing me to give away one 1-lb box of the milk chocolate toffee. Read below on how to enter.

RULES:
1. Go to Enstrom's website here and leave me a comment about which item you would like to try.
2. Open to U.S. residents only.
3. Entry deadline is 11:59 p.m. (EST) on Wednesday, February 3, 2010.

Valentine's Day Reviews/Giveaways Begin Now! Tarts With Hearts

It is finally here! The first day of my week of Valentine's Day reviews and giveaways. I am sure you will enjoy these products as much as I have! Sit back, relax, and get ready to enter and order!!! :D

~ TARTS WITH HEARTS ~

Isn't that the cutest thing you have ever seen? I bet it is the best smelling gift you would ever receive!

Jamie from Tarts With Hearts was kind enough to send me 3 separate tarts to review. I am a HUGE scent-lover and, for me, the stronger the better! I sent in a request and she was very kind and professional. I received the tarts within just a few days!

When I went to my post office, I was excited to see a package. I was wondering who it was from, but before I could read the sender's address, I could SMELL some wonderful scents. I knew it had to be from Tarts With Hearts! Sure enough, it was! WOW! If I could smell them that strongly from inside a padded envelope (without even opening the envelope), I was only imagining what kind of scent it would put throughout my house. Well the answer is AN AMAZING SMELL!

I was able to try Jack Frost, Amish Quilt, and Amazing Apple Pie! I really enjoyed all three scents, but I think my absolute favorite was Amazing Apple Pie. Smelled so delicious and the best part is that this ONE tart lasted for TWO WHOLE DAYS - and not just a hint of smell but a BIG BANG of smell all day BOTH days! Trust me, I know tarts, and I have NEVER found any others to be this strongly scented and especially ANY that last TWO WHOLE DAYS!

She has a great list of scents that I am definitely going to try - like Monkey Farts (bananas, strawberries, pineapples, bubble gum - come on - it has to smell great), Banana Nut Bread, and the Spiced Wassail (this is one of Jamie's favorites, so I have to try it).

Anyhow, Jamie was kind enough to answer a few questions that I thought everyone would be interested in. Here they are, and keep reading to learn how you can enter to win a gift bag of 5 tarts!

**QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION WITH JAMIE OF TARTS W/ HEARTS**

What made you become interested in starting your own business with tarts?
~Tarts are my very favorite way to add wonderful scent to my home. I was spending a lot of money on tarts that were either not strong enough or just didn’t last long enough. So I figured that perhaps I could make them at home for myself. I started and practiced and practiced until I got the right combination of scent to wax to make them they way I like them, STRONG and Long Lasting. When my friends and family heard about me making tarts and tried them, they wanted to buy them from me. So what started out as a hobby became a business. I am a stay at home mom so it is nice to have a little something for myself and that is probably why I enjoy making the tarts as much as I do burning them.

How long have you been in business?
~On January 16, 2010, I celebrated the one year anniversary of my very first tart order.

What are YOUR favorite scents?
~That is a hard question… but I would have to say Amish Quilt, Spiced Wassail, Bayberry and Blueberry Cheesecake. (I love them all.)

Are you planning to have a store, other than online, in the future?
~Not right now but you never know what the future holds. If I would get a lot of customers and demand, it could be something that happens in the future.

What are a few things you want your customers to know, either about you and/or your business?
~The reason why I chose to use 100% Soy Wax is because it is not an oil based product and soy is grown in the US, so by choosing soy you are supporting the American Farmer, which I think is important. Also, I make my tarts VERY strong and I know that there are people who do not like the strong scents as well as I do, so I can tame them down a little if someone would ask me to do that. I try to do whatever you want to make the tarts the way you like them. Lastly, I know that shipping charges are high, but if you take into consideration that a lot of people that use my tarts use the SAME tart for 2-3 days, even with the shipping charges, you are getting your monies worth. No one has money to waste these days and I want people that trust me to make the tarts for their homes to get their monies worth. With Tarts w/ Hearts I truly believe that once you give them a try … you’ll be happy that you did. They are tarts from my home…. To yours.

WAT-AAH Review and Giveaway!

WAT-AAH!!! What? WAT-AAH - what a FANTASTIC product!

The kind folks at WAT-AAH allowed me to review their products! Their goal and mission is to “reverse the dependency on sugary drinks among America’s children and to make the WAT-AAH! Boy the symbol of healthy hydration and to fight against the greatest threat of our children’s lives – obesity“. And what a great goal that is!

They had a challenge to see if your children would choose WAT-AAH over sugary products in your refrigerator.

The results from my home: I have a 7-1/2-year-old son and as soon as he saw the box he asked excitedly "Is this for me?" He did not know that the package, on the inside, contained water because he LOVED the appearance of the outside package and apparently with the display of the box, he knew it was geared towards him! A+ for that! Then we open the package - well he actually rips into it because he is so excited! And he sees the bottles "WOW!" He was intrigued. Not only did they send the four bottles of water, but also a fact sheet, some stickers and tattoos!

He immediately grabbed the green bottle (energy - go figure him grabbing the one marked energy)...He surely doesn't need any extra energy! lol...Green is his favorite color! So he took the lid off and gulped it! He kept saying "this is my energy drink". He was liking it. He toted it around with him everywhere he went! I was thinking that this was amazing because he is always wanting Dr. Pepper - not water!

Another day goes by and I go to get my camera ready so I could take some pictures of the product. "Uh-oh"....where did all of the WAT-AAH go? It was already gone! Guess where I found the empty bottles? On his dresser in his room beside of his computer! So needless to say, my kid LOVED this!

I also got a taste...and it was clear and clean - just like water is supposed to be! I think it is a great product! Here is more about it:

If you're trying to get your children to drink more water, or squeeze a little more calcium into their diets, this mom-created, kid-inspired product just might do the trick.

***REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY- Patient Style Lounge Socks***

Patient Style Loung Socks
Click here for their product page for these AMAZING socks!
These are not just your ordinary lounging socks!

Get cozy with these soft and snuggly chenille lounge socks. They are also enhanced with antimicrobial features. The perfect way to pamper and protect your feet!
These are ideal for ANY situation. Whether you have a family member in the hospital or a long-term care facility, or you are just wanting to wear something around the house - these are PERFECT!!!!

They are so soft and comfortable, that I really do not want to put anything else on my feet. Honestly, I cannot say it enough - these are FABULOUS! The fit is great - plenty of room for whatever size of foot you may have; the stretchy material will make sure of that. But, even though being stretchy, they do fit nice and snug with no sliding down. The softness of the chenille is truly fantastic! And, not to mention the antimicrobial benefits of them! This is exceptionally beneficial for long-term care or short hospital stays. And, the grip on the bottom of the socks, well - all I can say is I am not worried about slipping anywhere - and I cannot even feel the ridges of the "traction control" while having the socks on.

Though they are not endorsed for, I believe they would be great for diabetics too, due to their fit and protection with all of the health issues regarding their feet and lower extremities! But, again, that is just my personal opinion and has not been evaluated by the company.

For the past several weeks, we have had VERY COLD temperatures and these lounge socks have been my best friends! They come in the two colors as shown above.

This gets a definite 5/5 in my review! They are the absolute best! Your feet will think that they are being pampered once they get into these loungers!

REVIEWS, REVIEWS, REVIEWS!!! Behind But Catching Up This Weekend!

WOW! That is all I can say. I am so behind on so many reviews. With our very cold temperatures (in the 5s to 10s) and almost 3 feet of snow, I guess I will have plenty of time to catch up this weekend!

Sorry for the delays, but be on the lookout for lots of product reviews posted this weekend! I will be so glad to be back on track. Holidays were good, but so glad they are over with!

Stay warm everyone!!!!

My 20 for 2010!!

WOW! How are you saying it - twenty-ten or two thousand ten? I am still trying to decide. Twenty-ten is much quicker and it has a better "ring" to me, so I am probably a twenty-ten person!

Everyone is making their 20 for 2010 lists. I guess here goes mine:

1. Stick to a healthy eating pattern at least 90% of the time, which will aid in weight loss and overall better feeling.
2. Make schedules and stick with them. It seems like there are so many things to do around here and only a handful gets done at times. I believe scheduling will solve this problem.
3. Find a reliable, trustworthy babysitter. This one may be hard to do but we are starting our search now.
4. Read more of the Bible.
5. Stop with the ponytail! Okay - I may go in the next day or two and get my hair cut so I cannot wear a ponytail every single day!!!
6. Read as many motivational, encouraging books as possible.
7. ENFORCE bedtime at bedtime!!! Not 3 hours later!
8. Put away $25.00 every month that isn't planned for savings.
9. Buy myself a nice outfit at least once every 3 months. (Okay people - I know that may sound crazy, but I am not a clothes shopping person!)...lol
10. Learn to breath!
11. Go somewhere that I have never been before.
12. Stay at a nice bed and breakfast...which I hope I can at the end of this month.
13. Set a minimum line production for my work and get above that every single payday! (I am a medical transcriptionist and get paid by production. This year - it is going UP!)
14. Become more of a morning person instead of such a night owl.
15. Help more people.
16. Socialize more - this is consisting of being off of the computer...lol..actually in person!
17. Spend more quality time with my children. We have plenty of "crazy" time....
18. Set short-term goals of 3 months duration and follow through with them.
19. Exercise at least 3 times a week.
20. Overall, be more cheerful!

WOW! If I can accomplish all of these, I will have a WONDERFUL year. I surely will try!

What is on your list for 2010?
