For all of you Oprah fans, you have probably seen the episode where she had Laura Berman, M.D. on and they raved about the Aphrodite. Well, when Bonnie from MyPleasure contacted me and asked if I would do a review on the Aphrodite, I was a little hesitant at first due to the nature of the product. But after reading the reviews and checking out their website, I thought I would give it a try. I really liked their website as it not only specializes in adult sex toys, but it also offers an education page, which I think many adults would find helpful - in case they are too shy to ask questions. And, I also thought that this could be used for multiple purposes too, like muscle/back massage - I am a VERY modest person! :D
I received the item very quickly! Actually, I was surprised at how fast the shipping was! Once I received the item, I took it out of the box (which it arrived in a plain box where your carrier would not know what was inside). I could not believe how big this item was! To me, it indeed looked like it would do very well for a back or neck massager, but uncertain about how it would be for the real "intended" use.
I followed the directions and charged it for the required time. The next day, it was ready and I was willing to see what it had to offer. I noticed on the low setting that it also produces heat. I thought that was a nice feature as well. I turned it on low and, to me, it did not seem like it was a low setting. It seemed kind of high to me. Needless to say, whenever I turned it on the high setting, it was very high! This device definitely is power-packing!
I tried it on my neck and back. It seemed to do pretty well for those areas, but I still felt like there was too much power! But that is just me. I like softness. So I am sure that most of you would like this power greatly though! It is definitely not lacking in that!
