Diet Tips From Dr. Oz

I was watching today's episode of Dr. Oz (had to record most of it) and I was only able to watch the first 15 minutes of it, but he had some great tips for weight loss strategies, so I thought I would pass them on.

When Is The Best Time To Weigh Yourself? He stated around 6:30 a.m. (what, that is just when I am getting my good sleep in...lol). He said as soon as you get up from sleeping, go to the bathroom, and then weigh yourself. Makes sense to me.

When Is The Most Effective Time To Exercise? He stated at 6:35 a.m. Basically 5 minutes after you get out of bed and weigh yourself. He said that this would be the most efficient time for fat-burning because it is actually before you eat anything, thus, allowing your exercise to burn fat and not food that you just ate. Great point!

What Are The Proper Times To Eat? He stated 7:30 a.m. for breakfast, 12:00 noon for lunch, and 6:00 p.m. for dinner. Now you can adjust this as to when you get up. He said the main important things to remember are:

1. Eat immediately after you exercise.


2. Eat your last meal at least 3 hours before you go to bed.

**WooHoo** Just Received My Frozen Foods From Nutrisystem!! #NSNation

I heard it. I heard the loud roar of the Schwan's truck. I heard it sitting outside yet when I looked out the window I did not see it. Darn...must not be my shipment. I hear it all of the time - our neighbors order from them. I recently heard that Schwan's has teamed up with Nutrisystem with their frozen foods. Oh well, maybe tomorrow, right? WRONG!!! A minute went by and I heard a loud knock at the door...Could it be? YES!!! It was the Schwan's man....see I didn't see him in my driveway because it is packed with snow. We use our 4-wheel drive to get in and out and have became used to it (is that bad?)....so he parked next door. **giggles**

Now that is a lot of food!!!

Really...ice cream, ice cream sandwiches, ice cream bars - on a weight loss plan? YES!!!!
Steak hoagies, meatball hoagies, pancakes, and french toast!! Yummo!

And this is just about 1/3 of the food that I will be getting. I am waiting on the shelf-stable food to arrive.

My youngest son, who is 2-1/2-years-old saw everything and he started making the slurping noise (you know the kind that you make when something is good) every time he saw the ice cream, the pizzas, and the ice cream bars!!! I was like "No, no, no. These are ALL MINE!"...lol

So time is drawing closer and closer. Just waiting on the other shipment and to review the material and then I will be starting! Will keep you posted. This was a GREAT way to start off a Monday!

Glee Gum Kit Review and Giveaway

I am sure most, if not all, of you are familiar with Glee Gum. I remember it being in those candy/gum dispensers at local stores. When I was little, I would always ask my mom for some change because I loved that gum! And you got so many pieces too! And it is still around - still see it and, yes, I still get it too! Scentsy Review and Giveaway

Ohhh, you guys knew how excited that I was to be able to try out Scentsy products without me even having to tell you (because you all know how much I love candles, tarts, fragrance, scents in general). I had been seeing a lot of talk about Scentsy but, as far as I know, there are no consultants in my area and I had never ordered from there before. Needless to say, I was thrilled when I learned that I was going to be able to review a Scentsy plug-in warmer and bar....and all thanks to Cassie Stevens, Independent Consultant for Scentsy! ***thank you, Cassie**

I have it in my bathroom as I think this is the perfect size warmer for that room. My plug-in is up high (mid-mirror) and it is perfect!!! I love primitive and country styles and this warmer is absolutely gorgeous!

There are multiple things that I like about the warmer:

• It is very sturdy. I was a little apprehensive about it being a plug-in warmer, as I was afraid that it would "topple" over. Not a chance. It has a great locking feature when you put warmer together...very sturdy.
• I love the fact that it actually has an on/off switch. And again, the quality is very good in this product - made very well.
• The depth of the "bowl". You can fit in nice sized tarts without having to compromise.

Now about the Scentsy Bars.....

Wow! There is such a selection that I was driving myself bonkers trying to pick out one scent...lol. So I sent Cassie three or four choices and told her to surprise me and she did....she sent me Home Sweet Home, which is such a nice fragrance. Cinnamony with maybe a flower mixture - not really sure but I really like it! I think I am going to try a few more scents VERY SOON!!! These are not dull scents at all but they are not overpowering either. I think the fragrance level is great (and I am hard to please in this area....lol).

Gente, não podemos relaxar na votação!

Essa Vesguellyyyyyy agora resolveu apelar pra essa história de abuso como recurso pra ser salva do paredão. E, agora que Digago já sabe, isso vai ser assunto até a hora da eliminação, possivelmente revertendo os votos pra Maria.

Não sei e nem tenho conhecimento pra afirmar se isso é ou não verdade. Mas se eu tivesse que apostar, pelo que deu pra conhecer dessa Vesguellyyy no BBB11, eu diria que é mentira, porque essa mulher é uma louca que usa de todos os argumentos pra se fazer de vítima.

Não esqueçamos as palavras dela:

"Eu vou me transformar em vítima SEMPRE!"

Verdade ou mentira, o BBB não é justiça social, e assuntos como abuso não tem que ser levados em consideração pra salvar alguém do paredão.

Se ela ficar na casa, vai ser outra a ser tratada como café-com-leite, que não vai poder ser contrariada porque foi molestada. Vai ser um inferno! Nada mais de monstros e muito menos de paredões pra coitadinha, pra vítima.
Temos que garantir e cortar esse mal pela raiz! Votando muito!

Nutrisystem Package Is On Its Way To Me - #NSNation

I was so excited when I received the email today that my Nutrisystem food package was on its way!!! Yippee!!! But after a few minutes, fear set in. It was at that moment that I realized "this is real". I have spent years, and I mean years, watching all of the Nutrisystem informercials and watching all of their spots on QVC. I loved listening to people call in and tell about their wonderful weight loss experience with Nutrisystem and how great the foods tasted. Now it is my turn! I was starting to feel like "What if I don't do well?" But then that fear went away quickly because I know that I will do this. These opportunities just don't come around very often, especially to ME!

So I went out last night and bought myself a plate. Yes, you read right, a plate! I have read in so many places that when you are dieting or trying to watch your food intake, that you should buy a special plate for your meals to help proportion size. Mine may be a little big (not for sure until I get the food) but I thought it was gorgeous. Take a look:

I hate that you cannot see the true detail in the plate in my picture. I thought it looked great with my tablecloth. It makes me want to go and buy the whole set, but at $5.00 a plate, I may have to buy one at a time (or not)...I am cheap and very frugral and I kind of cringed at the thought of spending $5.00 for one plate, but I deserved it...lol. I know I sound crazy but if you only knew how frugal I really am!!! =)

Once my package arrives next week, I will post pictures of its contents. And, after I read thoroughly through the plan, I will be starting it! Super-duper excited!
