I am sure most, if not all, of you are familiar with Glee Gum. I remember it being in those candy/gum dispensers at local stores. When I was little, I would always ask my mom for some change because I loved that gum! And you got so many pieces too! And it is still around - still see it and, yes, I still get it too! One of our local Mexican restaurants has a big bowl of it in the four-piece packs at the register, so we always get some there as well. And you know what, I think it is perfect after a Mexican dinner!
I was excited when I learned that I was able to review this kit. We are huge gum lovers here!!! The thought of making our own gum sounded like it would be so much fun - and it was!
I did have pictures of our process in making it, but somehow they were deleted off of my phone (thanks to my 2-1/2-year-old)....but here is what the kit looks like and contains:
This was a fun project for me and my 8-1/2-year-old. Both of us really enjoyed it and the gum turned out great! It came with a cherry and cinnamon flavor. I liked them both a lot and my son liked the cherry flavored ones the best. He was so excited the whole time in making it and it was quality fun that we were able to spend together. He asked if he could take some to school because his teacher lets them chew gum during tests. She said she read somewhere that by chewing gum, it can stimulate your mind and it relieves stress (hmmm, maybe that is why I chew so much gum!!!)....I am telling her all about this kit because it has some educational purposes to it as well.
